Why am I winning so much during the Corona pandemic?
Don’t worry, you are not alone and there are a number of reasons why you are eating a few extra pounds at the moment:
Boredom, frustration and fear: you have already cleaned the whole apartment and are bored? You don’t get along as well in the home office as in the office? Do you miss your friends and are afraid of how the situation with Corona will develop, or maybe even be afraid for your job? All of these thoughts are currently in our heads. Fortunately, there is chocolate that promises quick encouragement and at least a brief feeling of happiness – until the guilty conscience sets in.
Too little exercise: gyms and other sports clubs are closed so that you cannot exhaust yourself there. Instead of going to work or driving, you only need a few steps to your desk. While you could move as much as you wanted before the corona pandemic, you can now only do laps in the apartment.
You drink more alcohol: And that’s a real figure killer. Pure alcohol has 7 calories per 100 grams, even more calories than carbohydrates! There is also a good dose of sugar on wine, cocktails and the like. In the evening, the glass of wine quickly becomes a calorie bomb. Needless to say, alcohol is pretty unhealthy anyway.
They eat too much fast food: cooking healthy for lunch and dinner is quite expensive. And at some point the daily dinner hangs out of everyone’s throat. Fortunately, there is frozen lasagna or the delivery service that brings you your favorite pizza with little effort. Ready meals are unfortunately anything but healthy and low in calories. They usually cost a lot of fat and simple carbohydrates without offering your body added value in the form of vitamins and minerals.
Summer is just around the corner and comes with lots of sun and pleasant temperatures. Time to unpack the bikini and soak up a few rays of sun. You don’t feel like it right now? Yes / Yes! You should feel comfortable in your skin, even if you have a few pounds more than before Corona. Every body is beautiful and deserves to be accepted and loved – even with cellulite and bacon. However, there is nothing wrong with wanting to lose your Corona kilos again (provided they stay in a healthy frame).
