One possible mechanism that can lead to overweight, is the responsiveness of satiety. When satiety capacity is reduced, the likelihood of overweight is greater.
According to the study in print in JAMA Pediatrics, children carrying multiple variants of genes related to obesity, are less responsive to satiety and therefore are more prone to gain weight.
Of the children evaluated in this study, it was observed that the genetic predisposition to gain weight generated through different mechanisms.
One such mechanism is the low satiety response. Why is it important to reach this conclusion? It’s important because, through these results include the different causes of obesity, because this disease is an epidemic cobra, directly or indirectly, the lives of millions of people worldwide.
