Two types of adipose tissue: white adipose tissue and brown adipose tissue. The white adipose tissue or joint is formed by adiposities containing fat from fatty acids and triglycerides from the excessive intake of sugar.

Instead, the adiposities from tissue brown are smaller and contain glycogen. This fabric has a much smaller distribution in the body and its main function is energy reserve it is to maintain stable body temperature.

When white adipose tissue grows, begins to relate to obesity and complications of this disease, such as cardiovascular disease. In the process of weight gain, white adipose tissue not only begins to grow but accumulates abnormally.  Adiposities grow in number and size, may increase up to four times its volume by excessive accumulation of lipids.
