- Add 1.5 tbsp oat bran in a bowl, add 1.5 tablespoon of cottage cheese or yogurt, one egg white and one whole egg or if you have cholesterol problems. Sweetened with a spoonful of aspartame or out slightly to taste.
- Mix ingredients well and pour the dough onto a nonstick pan previously greased with a few drops of oil helping of kitchen paper.
- Keep in skillet 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
The cakes are preserved a long week in the refrigerator, in foil or plastic wrap to keep from drying out.
You can also freeze them; retain their taste, texture and nutritional interest.
Most eat these cakes in the morning, so avoid mid-morning hunger. Others use it as a snack for the midday meal, filling it with a good slice of smoked salmon or corned beef slices.
Others, finally, eat mid-afternoon, the “time of the crime” may arise when ravenous. Or after dinner, when I feel like rummage through closets looking for a tranquilizer before last night.
