If you want to lose weight, and it is important to continually reduce the amount of calories consumed, but more important is to increase caloric expenditure, and the simplest way to do this is direct and exercising more. Try entering the caloric expenditure gradually to not interfere too much with your lifestyle, also remember that you only need to adhere to these changes until you reach your weight loss goals. Obviously it would be better to continue to get in better shape, advantages and benefits will always exercising and staying active.
